How To Make Your Hair Thicker
Vitamins Can Help to give you Thick Hair
In order to achieve thicker hair, there are a number of vitamins that can be taken to help with the process. Keep in mind that there is no "quick fix" when it comes to actually having the thick hair. I will talk later about how to make hair look thicker. But to actually have it, takes some time. Usually you will see no visible results for up to 4 months. Sometimes you will notice a difference after 6-8 weeks, but the "norm" will be after you have taken the right vitamins, religiously that is, for a number of months. Vitamin deficiency can play a huge role in hair loss for women.
Also keep in mind that there are a number of other factors that could be playing into your thin hair problem. You have genetics. A lot of times, thin hair is coming from your genetic make-up. But, you also have stress that could be playing a role, certain medications, or possibly even your thyroid could be affecting your hair. Whatever the reason though, there are still things that you can do to help.
Cinnamon and Honey Tip...To Help Thicken Hair
Take one tsp. Cinnamon powder
One tbsp. Real Raw Honey
Hot olive oil (you will add this until it turns into a paste.)
Apply to your hair before your shower, and leave on for 15 minutes, then wash out. Even leaving it on for 10 minutes will help.
The Best Vitamins for Your Hair
Prenatal Vitamins. Prenatal vitamins usually contain many of the vitamins that play a role in having thicker hair. But you must always remember quality. The quality of the vitamins you take makes a huge difference, no matter what your reason for taking the vitamin is. Always do your research before you purchase anything.
With the amazing power of Google, you can find just about any information on any item that you need, including reviews. I love to read reviews because you are getting the opinions of real people like me and you, that have already taken the product. This will be key in deciding what brand you would like to try.
A little bit better break down of the vitamins.
Vitamin E. Vitamin E is an antioxidant. Antioxidants will always improve the thickness of your hair. Vitamin E improves the scalp circulation.
Vitamin A. This another antioxidant.
Fiber. Most people do not realize that fiber does play a role in having a good head of hair. Fiber is good for your digestion, and keeps your body healthy. This will in turn help your hair too.
Vitamin B Complex. I can not even go into enough detail about vitamin b complex. This helps so many things in our bodies, including our hair. Vitamin B will help with your mood and metabolism, both of which too affect your hair. If all you can afford to buy is one vitamin at a time, make it the vitamin b complex. Do your research on this, and you will without a doubt see why.
Flax Seed Oil.Well, I guess you should get a second job if you can only afford to buy one vitamin, because you really do need this one too. Again, not only because of your hair, but flax seed oil can benefit almost every system in your body. People taking flax seed oil greatly reduce their risk for getting colon and breast cancer. You should be getting 1000 mg., 1 to 3 times a day. Again, make sure that you get the good quality product, and this does need to be refrigerated.
Folic Acid. If you do decide to just take the prenatal vitamin, make sure that it has the right amount of folic acid. Folic acid is very key in having great hair. Think of it like this. If the doctors tell you that you need to make sure that you are getting enough folic acid while you are pregnant so that your baby does not have certain birth defects, what makes you think that it doesn't play an important role in how we are growing? Well, our hair is also constantly growing. We all need this, and our unborn babies need this. It is absolutely essential.

Your Diet Does Play A Role In Having Thick Hair.
Having a good diet and good eating habits will always be the best hair thickening tip that there is. But we all know that things are hectic, and sometimes our diets come last on the list of things to do. It is sad that it has gotten to be this way, but it is the truth.
If you really get into researching this, these same vitamins that are so important in order for us to get that great head of hair, all seem to be key in preventing, and even helping cure awful diseases like cancer and diabetes. It does make sense though, do you ever see someone that has been very sick for a long time have beautiful hair? No. Sadly the answer is no. Another reason why hair loss gets worse as we get older is because the longer we let our bodies be deprived of the things that it needs, the worse the symptoms get, be it our hair, our skin, our weight, or whatever else it is that is bringing us down. I truly believe that cancer is nothing more than stress, and putting the wrong things into our bodies, and then not doing anything to get it right.
You have got to get your stress under control. It will too affect your hair. Read my review on the Bumpit, and in there I talk about most of what I have here already, and about stress. Again, in my opinion, this is the main cause of cancer. Yes, there are other toxins and such out there that can contribute too, but stress weakens our immune systems, and we can not fight off diseases the way that we should be able to. Why is cancer more prominent in women? We tend to stress more. Breast Cancer is the 7th top reason women die each year, and only lung cancer (as far as cancer goes) kills more women than the breast cancer. Stress is killing so many people each and every day. Look into finding ways to relieve your stress, and watch your body and hair both get better and better.

Hair Products To Help You With Having The Appearance of "Thick Hair"
Now on to hair products that I have found to help the look and feel of my hair to be much thicker.
I recently started using the line of Christophe products that you should be able to find at your local drugstore. I get these at CVS. They are a little pricier than your usual drugstore bought hair care products. But I think that they do wonders.
They have Volumizing Spray Tonic first of all. This helps the feel of your hair to be a bit thicker compared to many other products that I have tried.
Next, they have Texturizing Fiber Paste. This helps your hair to appear thicker also, and makes your hair feel really good. I don't know what it is about this stuff, but it's awesome!
Then there is the Shaping Spray. Now, I like this spray because I like to scrunch my hair up to be curly. And you can use this spray while you are doing your hair, and especially curling it, without getting that sticky icky gooey feeling. I like to spray it on while my hair is wet, and then scrunch it up with my fingers as I blow-dry. And then I still use it as I use my curling iron to curl my ends under. It leaves your hair really flexible so that you can work with it, and the smell is wonderful!
Then they have the Ultimate Shaping Spray, which is more of a finishing spray. You want to use this last to leave your hair with a strong hold on it.
Now, my all time favorite! If you haven't read my article on the Bumpit, then do that now. I swear by this thing. I say whether you have thick hair or thin hair, this is one of the best inventions of all times! And it is only $10.00.
I do explain that with thin hair, there is a little more work involved when using the Bumpit, but it makes it look like you have a full head of hair! It is just a piece of plastic that you "hide" under your hair, making it look like you have "bump." A lot of the soap opera stars, movie stars, and singers use the Bumpit. And I do not care what any of the bad reviews say about the Bumpit, I have not went one day without wearing it since it was introduced to me. I L-O-V-E the Bumpit!
A Tip From The Book, "Hollywood Beauty Secrets" for Volumizing Thin, Limp, Lifeless Hair
• Allow one cup of beer to become flat at room temperature.
•After shampooing, rinse hair as normal.
•Then massage beer through hair.
•Leave in for 2 to 3 minutes, rinse with cool water.
That's All Folks! Have A Good Hair...I Mean Good Thick Hair Day.I Mean Hair Day!
Well, as always, I hope that these few tips will help you with the process of thickening your hair. As women, having good hair is very important to us. We just don't feel good about ourselves until we have it looking fabulous. And more importantly, I think that if we are taking good care of ourselves and our bodies, it will show in our hair on its own. We, (the thin hair havers that is,) may never have the thickest hair in the world, as much as we try. But, there is always room for improvement. Don't stop trying to make it the best it can be! (Not to confuse this with obsession.) I believe we should always be looking to improve ourselves whether it is physically or mentally. I think it is the Army that says it best....Be the best you can be....was that the Army? Yeah, yeah I think it was.

My mother too has thin hair- that is getting thinner on the top also. I have found that taking the vitamins I have listed above helps tremendously! But the key is to take them consistently- and it is not a fast process- which I know no one wants to hear. Now, I have an actual bald spot that I was born with- which has lead me to wear my hair up all of my life. I don't know if this tip will help you or not because I don't know how you wear your hair everyday- but I recently started wearing my hair completely down by taking hair under the bald spot, and kind of twirling it in a messy way- and bobby pinning it right on top of the bald spot. Now, I wear my hair scrunched and curly- so I then take the hair above the bald spot and kind of tease it (just a little) to cover up the hair that I have pinned against the bald spot. Then I use a freeze spray once I have it right where I want it- so it won't move all day. the best thing to do is find a hairspray that makes your hair "feel" thicker. I JUST started using a spray that I can only find at Walmart- and it's less than $4.00 a bottle- and it's just called "professional shaping spray" and then I use that brand freeze spray. Let me know if any of this might have helped!? I hope so. And one more thing- my mother has started wearing really pretty ties or even hankerchiefs around her head- kind of like a head band- and it makes it look like she has a full head of hair. She kind of poofs up her hair around the headband.
I like the hub, I still hair loss for more three years, now it's very thining can look the scalp, I think take enough Vitamins, but it does not work, but thank you all the same.

by vitamins and good diet we can make our hair thicker. nice article
Great Hub! I agree that vitamins play a huge role in making your hair thicker, shinier and healthier looking. Another thing that works great is fish oil pills too!
I agree that vitamins and the right diet are important for your hair. I was suffering from hair loss and I did the following: 1) Used An effective hair soluaion like Parachute Advansed Therapie Hair Vitaliser to control hair fall. 2) A reputed shampoo and conditioner. 3) A healthy and nutritious diet comprising fruits and green vegetables rich in vitamins. 4) Good sleep to relax well. 5) Exercises like yoga, aerobics and jogging. 6) Ate snacks like nuts and almonds in the evening and avoided junk food.
how many times a week can you, should you apply the cinnamon and honey tip?
& is there any shampoo that can help thicken your hair which you could find at any local store?
How many times is the
honey & cinnamom paste to be done? How often?
I like to do it once a week. It would never hurt to do it more- but since honey is a bit pricey, I usually stick to about once a week. Thanks!

You say that "A lot of times, thin hair is coming from your genetic make-up." Well, my father did have thinning hair. I too have thinning hair. Only on the top. I did have my thyroid checked and it was good. Is there anything I can do to "bring back" hair that is leaving me? Please answer if you can. Thank you.
